Transitioning from natural teeth to dentures can be a challenging experience. The first few months of wearing dentures can be difficult, as many people are unfamiliar with the changes that will occur with their mouths and gums. Although your dentures may fit perfectly when you leave the dentist’s office, they may soon become loose as the swelling subsides and the gums recede. To cope, most people resort to using more and more denture adhesive. Is there a better solution? The answer is yes!

DenSureFit, Denture Adhesive, and Immediate Dentures

We are frequently asked if DenSureFit works well for people who have recently had extractions and are new to wearing dentures. The answer is a resounding yes! People who wear immediate or temporary dentures may be disappointed or concerned when their dentures start to become loose. They may fear something is wrong when their new dentures suddenly don’t fit well. However, this is a normal occurrence, and DenSureFit can help.

After extractions, your gums and jaw will change. First, the swelling will go down, and your gums will heal, making your immediate dentures looser. We do not recommend using DenSureFit until after this initial healing stage. However, when your dentist says you are ready for a professional soft reline, you should consider using the more affordable and convenient option of DenSureFit.

Your gums and jawline will continue to change and adapt to the absence of your natural teeth, especially in the first six to eighteen months following your extractions. During this time, you can expect some shrinkage of your gums and bone loss, which will make your temporary denture looser and looser unless the fit is adjusted regularly.

Before the invention of DenSureFit, the only solutions were using more denture adhesive or frequent and expensive visits to the dentist. DenSureFit is better than denture adhesive; it’s a game-changing product that can improve your comfort and confidence while transitioning to dentures. With DenSureFit, you can apply your own soft reline whenever your dentures start to feel loose. It is not an adhesive, but it can significantly reduce or even eliminate the need for adhesives. You only need to apply DenSureFit when you feel your dentures becoming loose again.

DenSureFit is Ideal for New Denture Wearers

DenSureFit is better than denture adhesives. The silicone is buildable, so once you create a liner that fits better, you can add another layer as needed. If dentures become loose every few weeks, apply a “snug-up” layer of DenSureFit to restore a tight fit. We call this “chasing your looseness.”

DenSureFit works by providing a cushion layer around the denture. The silicone will fill the denture inside, rise up the side walls, and wrap around the top ridges to create a soft gel cushion that makes your denture more snug and comfortable for three months or longer. This also creates suction and a strong seal to keep food and debris from under the liner.

With DenSureFit, you can keep up with the changing shape of your gums throughout the transition period while reducing discomfort and excessive use of adhesives. There may be a learning curve to using DenSureFit effectively, but we focus on customer service and support. We are happy to help guide you through your initial applications because we are confident that once you use our do-it-yourself soft reline system, DenSureFit will become an indispensable part of your new life as a denture wearer.
