What is DenSureFit?

N

A NON-adhesive solution to loose dentures to improve the fit and comfort for months

Who is DenSureFit For?

N

New Denture Wearers & Those in IMMEDIATES

DenSureFit keeps the denture snug as the gums shrink drastically during the first 18 months post-extraction.

IMPORTANT! If your extractions are recent, you MUST consult your dentist before using DenSureFit. Your dentist must “clear you” for a soft reline before you use DenSureFit. If your dentist has already applied a soft reline to your denture, then DenSureFit is okay for you to use.

N

Those with Denture Soreness

DenSureFit’s soft cushioning silicone helps to protect against “hot spots” for relief from soreness. It redistributes the pressure for relief from high spots of the gum line rubbing on the denture.

N

Those with Loose or Ill-Fitting Dentures

DenSureFit’s flexible silicone fills the voids that are causing the denture to be loose. DenSureFit relieves soreness caused by the denture rubbing as a result of those voids.

N

Denture Wearers in Their Permanent Dentures

Even after a denture wearer is fitted for permanent dentures, the gums continue to change, although the pace will slow down. These changes in the gums will cause the denture to fit differently. DenSureFit makes a new impression on the inside of the denture for a better fit.

N

Those Who Simply Desire More Comfort

If the denture fits well, but you simply want a cushion between the hard acrylic denture base and your gums, DenSureFit’s lightweight soft silicone provides a soft thin cushioning without adding extra bulk to the interior of the denture.

N

Those Who Want to Reduce or Eliminate Denture Adhesive-Use

DenSureFit is NOT adhesive. DenSureFit is a soft silicone liner that only needs to be replaced every few months. There is no daily application. Many people are able to go adhesive-free with DenSureFit. Others are able to greatly reduce the amount of adhesive they use and are able to switch to powder adhesive, which users report being a great improvement over the pastes when used on top of their DenSureFit liner.

N

Those Who Have a New Hard Reline

If the hard reline is not producing the fit you desire, many find that applying DenSureFit fine-tunes the fit. The lightweight DenSureFit silicone makes a much more detailed impression of the mouth than the hard acrylic material, so when applied over a new reline, the fit is naturally improved.

DenSureFit may be used on acrylic dentures:

N

Full Dentures

Uppers
Lowers

N

Partial Dentures

Uppers
Lowers
(DenSureFit will not adhere to metal. The trough of your partial must be made of acrylic for the DenSureFit silicone to adhere)

N

N

DenSureFit may be used over a soft professional reline.

How is DenSureFit different from denture adhesive?

How is DenSureFit different from denture adhesive?

How many relines will one Lower Denture Reline Kit supply?

This depends on each person’s denture situation.

One Lower Denture Reline Kit contains 2 applicators of silicone and is intended to reline one denture plate. Most people with medium looseness require 2 applicators of silicone.

If one only has minor looseness or is only using the DenSureFit for cushioning on a well-fitting denture, they might only require one applicator of silicone. In this case, one standard kit will likely supply them with two relines.

Those with major looseness might require more than 2 applicators of silicone. Major looseness on a permanent denture is usually an indication the one is due for a hard reline or perhaps they might need a new denture. In these cases, DenSureFit can be used to improve the fit of that denture, but it likely will not be able to solve all of the denture issues and should be used only until a dentist can be seen.

How many relines will one Upper Denture Reline Kit supply?

This depends on each person’s denture situation.

One Upper Denture Reline Kit contains 3 applicators of silicone, 1 primer, and a Snug-Up Tip. Most people use 2 of the applicators for their initial reline and add the 3rd applicator at a later date for a snug-up when they get a little loose again.

Some people use the Upper Kit to reline both an upper and a lower denture. Most people typically require 2 silicones (medium looseness) on the upper and one applicator on the lower, so an Upper Kit could possibly reline an upper and a lower.

However, every situation is different. The amount of silicone needed to get a snug fit depends on the looseness of the denture (how much volume needs to be filled) and the size of the denture. If used properly, there is enough primer in the kit to cover at least 2 denture plates.

I got my dentures in somewhere around 2008. I have never been in for a Reline, and they have never quite fit right. I always assumed that was how they are, and just assumed that Denture adhesive is sold for this reason…part of the “punishment” of having dentures.

When I found DenSureFit, my life changed. No more do I have to scrape glue from the roof of my mouth, or just tolerate loose fitting dentures. No appointment, I took care of it at home, at my convenience. I can eat things now that I couldn’t before, without worry or concern. They fit with a seal and suction that gives great confidence.

I cannot imagine going back to a life without Den Sure Fit. Thank you!!!

What is a Snug-Up Application?

Even when someone gets a great initial fit with DenSureFit, some people will get loose a few days or weeks later.

It is not always necessary to remove and reapply your DenSureFit liner when your denture loosens. More silicone may be applied over the existing liner around the middle of the wall/trough area to fill the new void and snug the denture back up again. This is called a Snug-Up application. The Snug-Up procedure is located in the instruction booklet.

Note: The silicone liner must be in good condition and bacteria-free to add more to it. If it is not in good condition, it needs to be removed and start from scratch again. Good condition means that it is being properly soaked/cleaned in a denture cleanser daily; is not lifting; does not have tears).

Snug-Up Tip

Standard DenSureFit Kit

Use for initial application
on one denture plate.

Includes:
2 silicone applicators
2 swabs
1 primer
instruction booklet

plus
Extra Silicone Applicator

Use half an applicator of silicone at a time for 2 smaller Snug-Up applications after your initial application when your denture loosens. Follow Snug-Up instructions in the booklet.

plus
Snug-Up Tip

Allows you to use the remainder of a partially-used applicator of silicone. Replace the used tip with the Snug-Up tip when you are ready to use the remaining silicone.

The Upper Denture Reline Kit is the SOLUTION for those who require a full kit to get their great initial fit, but who will ALSO require smaller snug-ups afterwards.

The Upper Denture Reline Kit is especially beneficial for newer denture wearers with rapidly changing gums.

As the gums shrink, the denture loosens. Instead of waiting to get loose enough to use an entire applicator,  you can now snug up sooner without wasting silicone!

What Might Cause a Denture to Get Loose After a Reline?

N

Shrinking of gums (typical with those in their first 18 months post-extraction)

N

Reduction of inflammation (gums can become inflamed without you being aware of it from hitting/rubbing of the gums on hard acrylic, especially when eating; medications; other situations)

Is Primer Needed on a Snug-Up Application?

Maybe... depends on if you have any areas on the edges of your denture that are not covered by silicone (the acrylic is exposed).

N

Primer makes the silicone stick to your hard acrylic denture base.

N

Silicone will adhere to itself without primer, as long as it is perfectly clean and dry.

N

You do NOT need to prime on top of silicone. Doing so will just waste your primer.

N

Only prime on top of exposed hard acrylic on the edges and slightly over the front of the ridge if it is not already covered with primer. You need that silicone to stick to your denture if it travels there during a Snug-Up application.

What is the standard kit for?

Most people require 2 silicons to get snug on an upper denture (1 kit). The full kit is used to get a great initial fit.

How to Use the Extra Silicone Applicator and Snug-Up Tip

You can use the extra applicator of silicone all at once or use half now and half later.

N

Still MODERATELY loose?

If your denture is still moderately loose, you can use the entire applicator to snug your denture up. Save the extra Snug-Up Tip for a future use.

N

Only have MINOR looseness?

If your denture is only minorly loose, you can use half the applicator now and save the remainder for a small Snug-Up later. This way, your silicone is not wasted.

When you are ready to use the remaining silicone, you will remove the un-usable used Snug-Up Tip and replace it with a new Snug-Up Tip. The cured silicone in the used tip keeps the silicone in the chamber of the applicator airtight until a new tip is put on.

Cured silicone will remain in the used tip making it impossible to express the remaining silicone out at a later date. The extra Snug-Up Tip is used when you are ready to use the remaining silicone. Simply unscrew the old tip and screw on the new tip when you are ready to use the remaining silicone.
