How DenSurefit Works
A Two-Part System
DenSureFit PRIMER makes the silicone adhere to the acrylic denture base or to a soft reline from your dentist. Without the primer, the silicone will not adhere to the denture properly and the silicone will lift prematurely.
When you wish to remove the silicone, you can peel it out. The silicone will adhere stronger to a rougher or porous surface making it more tedious to remove than a smooth, shiny denture surface.
Customized for you. DenSureFit uses soft flexible silicone just like many dentists use. As a matter of fact, the silicone is considered by many dentists as the “holy grail” of soft reline materials. It is extremely gentle…so gentle that there is no taste, no odor, and no burning sensation.
NOTE: The primer is designed to evaporate and dry quickly on your denture. Be sure you allow it to dry completely (at least two minutes) before applying the silicone. Also, be sure you recap the primer vial immediately and TIGHTLY after using to ensure it does not evaporate from the vial. Store the primer tightly capped and upright in a cool dry place to avoid evaporation.
As the silicone bonds to your denture, the self-curing silicone makes a brand new impression of your gums and roof of your mouth that is very detailed. It records every nook and cranny. This creates a customized suctioned fit which is tight and secure.
The silicone stays soft and supple in your denture which provides cushioning comfort against your hard denture base.
Your mouth is ever-changing after teeth are extracted. Swelling decreases. Mouth tissues can decrease. Loss of bone occurs. These changes can create voids where tissue or bone once was. A snug denture can become loose. The silicone helps to fill in voids between your mouth and your denture.
